Replacement Fees are charged to all VCU and VCU Health patrons, payable at the time of issuance. All replacement cards are issued in-person, at either VCUCard Office.

If your Campus Card is lost, you must deactivate your card in order to suspend privileges. Until such notice has been received, you will be responsible for all use of your card, whether or not such use is authorized by you.
A defective or heavily worn card will be replaced at no charge upon returning it to the VCUCard Office. However, bring your damaged card with you to your appointment so we may physically evaluate your card. Damaged campus cards consist of, but are not limited to cards that are:
Marked on or bent
Contain hole punches
Have had their magstripe scratched
Have been used to pry open or scrape objects
Have had stickers adhered to them

Some cardholders may have their role and sponsoring department printed on the front of their Campus Card. A new card can be received once the updated position has been transmitted to our system. VCU Students and VCU Employees do not have position titles printed on their VCUCard.
Replacement Fees are charged for all position changes. VCU Health Employee position changes are billed to the sponsoring department.
First, name change requests must be entered into the appropriate database before obtaining a new campus card. Please allow at least three (3) business days for the change to be updated. Patrons are encouraged to submit name change requests before receiving their first card.

Legal Name Changes: Employees should contact their Personal Administrator (PA) and students should contact Records and Registration to change their legal name.
Preferred Name Changes: Campus Card Services supports VCU's Call Me By My Name initiative. To update your preferred name, login to eServices and update the Name of Use under the Personal Information tab.
There is no limit on the number of times you can change the picture on the front of your Campus Card, as long as it meets the terms of the Photo Guidelines.

Campus Card Services supportsVCU's Call Me By My Name initiative. To update your preferred name, login toeServicesand update the Name of Use under the Personal Information tab. You are strongly encouraged to submit this request prior to receiving your first card.
VCU Health Card Replacement Instructions
The Health System requires completion and approval of an HR4U ID Replacement Card Request Form prior to having the card replaced
