VCUCards
The following information pertains to members of the VCU community who are obtaining a VCUCard. Use of the VCUCard by the cardholder signifies agreement with all Campus Card Terms and Conditions provided by the VCUCard Office, and agreement with the Employee and Affiliate Identification Policy provided by the VCU Human Resources Office.

The Requirements
To obtain a card, you must:
- Have an eligible active status
- Provide verification of your identity
- Provide your photo when requested
Getting Your First VCUCard
VCU Academic Students are enrolled in undergraduate or graduate general studies curriculums such as Business Administration, Arts, Engineering, Education, etc. All Academic Students should request a VCUCard by following our online form process. If classes have already started or the online process has closed, requests should be made in person.
Get Carded
In-Person: Please visit our office on the Monroe Park Campus during business hours. We take your picture and print your card. The process usually takes less than 10 minutes.
VCU Health Sciences Students are enrolled in master health-related curriculums and are typically in one of five health sciences schools: College of Health Professions, School of Dentistry, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Pharmacy. All Health Sciences Students should request a VCUCard in person at our office located on the MCV Campus.
In addition to a VCUCard, Health Sciences Students can request a secondary VCU Health Card. The VCUCard is the primary Campus Card and will house all access privileges. Students are responsible for displaying the appropriate card for the role they are in the process of performing. Request a VCU Health Card in person at our office located on the MCV Campus.
School of Nursing: VCU Health Employees who enroll as students in the School of Nursing will surrender their current VCU Health Card in exchange for 2 new cards: a VCUCard (the primary card that houses all access privileges) and a VCU Health Card (the secondary card for health-related identification).
Get Carded
In-Person: Schedule an appointment to visit our office on the MCV Campus during business hours. We take your picture and print your card. The process usually takes less than 10 minutes.
Employees are faculty and staff individuals who are paid by VCU. Employees usually receive instructions from HR or their supervisor regarding when to obtain a card. All VCU Employees should request a VCUCard by following the online form process. If the semester has already started or the online process has closed, requests should be made in person.

VCU Affiliates are individuals who are affiliated with VCU but are not paid by the university and may include retirees, clinical faculty, students, staff of temporary-help agencies, and contractors who provide services to the university. All affiliates should request a VCUCard in person.
All affiliate first-card issuance and replacement cards cost $30.00. The first issuance for Aramark, RMC, and VCU Police employees will be billed to the sponsoring department.

In-Person: Before visiting our office, please call us to verify the affiliate account status. Then, visit our office on the Monroe Park Campus during business hours. We take your picture and print your card. The process usually takes less than 10 minutes.
Replacing Your VCUCard
Only the first issuance of a student or staff card is free. There is a charge on all cards issued after the first card, even if you are returning to the university. Card costs are listed here.
Lost Cards
Your card is considered lost if it is misplaced and you no longer know its whereabouts. Due to building access and funding privileges, you must deactivate your card to prevent misuse. You will be responsible for all card use, whether or not you authorize such use.

- By calling either VCUCard Office
- Visit our office on the Monroe Park Campus to receive a new card

- Deactivate your lost card
- Deactivate VCU Health System Building Access
- Contact the VCU Medical Center Security Operations team at (804)-828-4300
- Deactivate VCU Building Access (if applicable) by doing one of the following:
- Online at myVCUCard.com
- By email to cardservices@vcu.edu
- By calling either VCUCard Office
- Through the GET Mobile app
- Deactivate VCU Health System Building Access
- The VCU Health System requires a supervisor's completion and approval of an HR4U ID Replacement Card Request Form before requesting a new card. The VCUCard Office does not have access to this form.

- Either visit our office on the Monroe Park Campus during business hours or schedule an appointment on the MCV Campus to replace your card
